The Role of Professional Development in Creating 21st Century Learning Environments

Keynote speaker: Nancy Caramanico, Director of Technology, K-12, Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Schools
Nancy Caramanico has been the Director of Technology at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Schools since 2008. She has an Instructional Technology Educational Specialist Certification and Masters from St. Joseph's University. She also teaches in the graduate programs at St. Joe's and also at Cabrini College. At Cabrini, her course is taught completely online. Nancy has an online teaching certification from Columbia.
Nancy is a strong supporter of professional development and has been actively involved in providing resources to teachers within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Schools. Currently, she is also involved in a professional development project with 20 schools as a 21st Century fellow for the Office of Catholic Education staff along with Mercy Vocational. She will share some of the experiences, challenges, strategies implemented and accomplishments from her school district.
