K-12 ARRA Education Funds Resource Guide

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) that Congress passed in February provides $787 billion stimulus package and an unprecedented $115 billion for education—funneling funds into public schools, universities and early childhood programs with the goal of using short-term investments to achieve sustainable, long-term results.

In this special Educator Resource Guide, we’ve compiled information from various sources to assist administrators in understanding the funds available to them. We provide a brief overview of all the categories of Education stimulus funds and details on the funds specifically for K-12 schools—for modernization, school programs and technology.

The incremental ARRA education funding categories for 2009 & 2010 school year are:
